Mickael Plourde, Dipl. I.D.

As a fusionist and a visionary, Mickael excels at combining creative design with cutting-edge construction practices, while also incorporating the desires and needs of the client.

One of Mickael’s strengths is his acute attention to detail which ensures that no part of the result is ever compromised. He gets to the core of what makes people feel comfortable, or uncomfortable, in a space — be it lighting, furniture placement, wall color or spatial limitations.

In 1994, Mickael graduated from Kwantlen College with a degree in interior design and since then has been co-founder and design principle of Carmick Interiors. Mickael’s design career includes starring in a six-episode Interior Design Makeover Show with Shaw TV.

Cary Ford, A.Sc.T.

As a technologist/project manager, Cary thrives at combining the excitement and innovation of design with the reality of construction. By being a part of the early stages of the design process, Cary is able to efficiently facilitate the design and construction phases to limit possible renovation issues between the interior designer and general contractor.

As a graduate from B.C.I.T.’s building technology program in 1985, Cary has been in the construction industry for 30 years. Starting as an apprentice carpenter in 1978, Cary’s first 3 years in construction included building from the forming stage, to framing and finishing. The next 9 years were spent as project manager for a general contractor, where he worked on numerous Labatt and Molson Breweries projects. In 1991, Cary joined a development company as an estimator and was responsible for estimating condominium projects of $20,000,000.

Since 1994, Cary has been co-founder and project manager of Carmick Interiors. He is a member of The Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of B.C.; registered as a building technologist since 1987.
